Genevieve yawned as she sat up in her bed, she looked over at her alarm clock and rolled her eyes - she had slept in once again and was going to be late once again. With a sudden burst of energy, she ripped the blankets from her body and pushed them aside as she slid to a sitting position, with her legs hanging over the side. Genevieve liked to think of herself as a morning person but deep down she hated getting up and with Fork's current weather, she didn't feel like getting up - Genevieve gazed at her window and shook her head at how dark and gloomy it looked outside, all she wanted to do was curl back up in bed but she knew that there was a chance she'd lose her job if she didn't.
Once she was dressed and had applied her natural look of make up, she grabbed her keys, handbag and phone and head out the door - as soon as she was outside, she slammed the door shut, not in anger but the wind had given her an extra hand in closing it. Picking the newspaper up from her doorstep, Genvieve held it over her head as she practically ran to her car, slipping the key into the lock and opening the door as quickly as possible before ditching the newspaper and sliding down into her seat and shutting the door as quietly as possible. Putting the key in the ignition and turning it once, Genvieve listened to the rumble of her old car's engine and rolled her eyes just waiting for the day when it would just crash and not turn on, but Genevieve hoped that, that day wasn't anytime soon - knowing she'd hate to walk in weather such as this.
Genevieve drove through the town of forks, looking over the towns people - she liked forks, the people were friendly and it was so quiet and it seemed that nothing really happened here (burglary, fights, murders) etc. but she knew something was going to happen soon enough - just hopefully not yet. Pulling into her regular parking space, Genevieve turned the key and pulled it out, unbuckling her seat belt she collected her things and opened her car door, quickly jumping out and shutting the door before locking it and walking up onto the covered path. Genevieve turned and looked at the police station building, and rolled her eyes before walking up the few steps and pulling the door open, heading to sign in to let the person that pays her know that she was here. After she had signed in, Genevieve went to her usual space - at the front and sat down behind her large desk and placed her possessions in the right place before getting on with her work.
